Story in video games are more common than before. The more graphics have improved the more video games had an emotional narrative that came with it. Hamlet hit points explained how most story's in games must cause the player to become surprised for example, a character you control can have and build history from one scene to the next. Ways to analyze a story's narrative is with the type of beats such as procedural which brings a practice goal bringing us close to the goal to fulfill us or take us away from the goal. Another example of a beat is dramatic which deal with conflict and emotion. Video games is similar to a movie but the games story can be changed due to the players interactions and choices he/she decides. Movies on the other hand has a story straight forward that a viewer cannot change or interact in any way. The concept that is shared upon video games, movies and television is called diegetic world.
